KEWPIE Dave’s Hot Chicken Style Sauce

About KEWPIE Dave’s Hot Chicken Style Sauce

Heat needs structure. Kewpie provides it. The spice shines, but the base keeps it luxurious instead of harsh. That’s the difference.

Recipe: Dave’s Hot Chicken Style Sauce

Ingredients
Chicken Tenders

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced into tender-sized strips
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1½–2 cups crushed cornflakes
  • 2–3 tbsp hot sauce of choice (for coating after cooking)
  • Avocado oil spray or neutral oil spray

Ingredients
KEWPIE Dave’s Hot Chicken Style Sauce

  • ½ cup KEWPIE Mayonnaise
  • 1–2 tbsp chili crunch (depending on spice preference)
  • 1 tbsp honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 385°F.
  2. Slice the chicken breasts into tender-sized strips. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Dredge each piece of chicken in flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally press into the crushed cornflakes to coat all sides.
  4. Place the coated chicken tenders in the air fryer basket in a single layer and lightly spray with oil. Space chicken out so there is room on each side so chicken can cook evenly.
  5. Air fry at 385°F for 16 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Once cooked, lightly toss the chicken tenders with hot sauce of choice to coat.
  7. Make the sauce by mixing ½ cup KEWPIE Mayo, 1–2 tablespoons chili crunch, and 1 tablespoon honey until smooth and well combined.
  8. Serve the crispy chicken tenders hot with the Dave’s Hot Chicken–Style KEWPIE Mayo Sauce on the side.
